This is an area that we, as <a href=\"https:\/\/highgate.sk\/\">Highgate Group<\/a>, deal with not only from a legal-regulatory point of view, but also from a tax-accounting perspective. The webinar was attended not only by entrepreneurs and managers from fund groups, but also by representatives from the NBS and the wider public.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>As the line between collective investment (which is a regulated area with potential criminal sanctions) and equity\/joint-venture\/crowdfunding financing is very thin, the focus of the first part of the webinar was on this area. And there was a relatively lively discussion on these topics with representatives from the NBS:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Where is the line between collective investment and standard equity financing or crowdfunding from a regulatory perspective?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What is the role and practice of the NBS in supervision;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Venture Capital Funds in Slovakia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>In addition to the above mentioned topics, the webinar covered:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The technicalities of setting up and operating a small fund in Slovakia;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taxation and accounting of funds;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possibilities of establishing offshore funds and distribution in Slovakia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>If you are interested in the topic, it is possible to watch the recording of the webinar.
