On 19.11.2019 we organized our next tax conference at the Sheraton Hotel in Bratislava. The main topic was not only the approved 15% income tax for legal entities and individuals, we also dealt with several other practical tax and levy topics. We will have the same lecture on 9.12.2019 in Sheraton.
One of the topics that received significant attention was, for example, the purchase of property for investment purposes. We compared whether it is better to buy a property (for example, an apartment) in the name of an individual or a legal entity. We addressed whether VAT deduction is still possible for flats and if so, under what conditions. We have dealt with the taxation of income from the sale/rental of real estate as well as other related tax-tax aspects.
In addition, we have also covered topics such as:
- Is it possible to split a company into smaller companies and benefit from the 15% tax rate?
- Is it also possible to use company assets and money for personal use?
- What are the tax optimisation options for the company?
- Is it lawful to pay yourself the minimum wage in your own company?
- Paying off business owners- what are the options and risks?
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of paying social contributions (old-age pension, maternity, nursing, …)?
- Employing for a “trade”- what is the practice and what are the risks?
Tax and levy pitfalls are a standard focus of our clients’ attention not only in various investment activities, but also in standard operations. That is why we provide not only standard accounting advice, but clients also have the opportunity to take advantage of more sophisticatedtax and related legal advice.
