We baked the biggest conference ever organized by a consulting company in Slovakia. And here is a short cross-section of our baking “Real Estate – Taxes and Financing”: ➡️ We bought the raw materials – we attracted such big names (I humbly dare to say that ” 🔝ky” in their fields) from the financial, banking and real estate environment with the concept of the conference, so that the conference would have a quality content. ➡️ We baked – we provided the complete technical organization through sound engineers, photographers and videographers, catering, hall rental to the actual on-site registration. ➡️ Decorated – we gave something extra to make people feel good – beautiful venues in the Grand Hotel River Park, and Luxury Collection Hotel, a gift, a fun quiz, a good coffee. ➡️ Promoted – we created our own marketing plan which I am very proud of – booklets, flyers, beach flags, linkedin, facebook and thousands of direct emails, hundreds of phone calls and dozens of statuses. ➡️ And they ate it all up – as my boss says, selling out a conference is the easy part. I don’t trust him on this one one bit 🙂 During the baking time, we noticed some paradoxes that we didn’t expect at all: ❎ On 20.9 we started the promo and also the ticket sales (2 months before the conference) – on the same day 6 tickets were already bought right away. ❎ We wanted to have only 100 attendees, but after two weeks of sales, 100 tickets were already bought. ❎ We had to stop early bird after 4 weeks of sales (due to huge interest). ❎ We increased the capacity of participants to 220, which was rocketing. ❎ Two weeks before the conference we were hopelessly sold out and people were still asking. ❎ After the conference, people kept writing in to ask if we were going to repeat the conference or if we could send them a video. These paradoxes make us extremely happy and give us a sense of “victory”, but also a commitment not to slacken in commitment and quality. It has confirmed to us that quality content with an honest emphasis on technical information delivered in an audible way are the right ingredients to keep people interested.
