I felt like I was in a Champions League studio. Our Highgate conferences have grown from a small room of 30 people (including 5 interns) to a ‘LM studio’ where the online broadcast was watched by over 2️⃣7️⃣5️⃣ viewers + others in the hall 9️⃣0️⃣ 🤗 That’s already a decent audience base from our last conference – The Shvarc system – where is the limit of employing freelancers? Still, just when I think raising the bar is impossible, Peter Varga and the whole team at Highgate Accounting and Highgate Law & Tax lead me astray. When I look back at the conferences we have arranged internally over the past 5 years (there have been just over 10), I can see the huge progress 💹. ___ Here’s my 5️⃣ variables that I value in conferences overall: ➡ Quality content
A topic that is troubling to entrepreneurs and is presented in a way that even the “average” listener can understand and find a solution to the problem. ➡ Selection of speakers
Who speak in a professional and understandable way. So that you don’t fall asleep and have a little fun. ➡ Technology
Studio, interesting presentations, doctored videos, voiceovers, quizzes, audience interaction and most importantly an emphasis on visuals. ➡ Marketing
You’ll be delighted when attendees write to tell you that they received invitations from three different sources. If you want to increase interest and awareness, you need to communicate a lot and send out three invitations from three different sources. ➡ Conference organization
From simple online registration to biting into a sweet 🍰 cake during a coffee break ☕. Everything just has to be tip top thought out with attention to detail. Don’t forget the follow up (satisfaction questionnaire, sending presentations and conference outputs). I feel the last conference met all of these attributes as evidenced by the number of positive feedbacks. Just a different league – the Champions League. But no need to rest on our laurels.
