Yesterday, we received the “Law Firm of the Year” award in the capital markets category for the third time.
Over the past year and a half, this area in our country has been dominated primarily by licensing proceedings for the provision of cryptoasset services. Paradoxically, at a time when we are seeing clients move abroad, including the establishment of regulated entities, Slovakia has unexpectedly become one of the most sought-after jurisdictions in Central Europe for doing business in the crypto sector.
Even given the strict conditions, this sector can thus contribute, at least to a small extent, to the development of the capital market and, in a broader context, to Slovakia’s GDP.
At the same time, we are pleased that there are still clients interested in the development of “traditional” financial sectors, whether in the area of collective investment or investment services. This enables organic growth in these sectors as well, and we sincerely thank our clients for the trust that allows us to participate in this growth. 🙏
In addition to our clients, we would, of course, like to thank Peter and Tomáš for the environment they have built at Highgate Law & Tax, as well as all our other colleagues who contributed to our capital markets advisory work last year, particularly Radoslav Gulassa, Vladimír Gaduš, Tomáš Habara, Alexandra Fujeríková, and Filip Klučka. 👏
