In the easternmost corner of Slovakia (Topoľa), we spoke with the Cholev brothers (GARDEON®) about how to conquer Europe (from Turiec).
For companies that are expanding, the question inevitably arises sooner or later: Wouldn’t it be better for the parent company to be based abroad?
Sometimes, yes. For many, however, no.
Why?
Simply put, a Slovak parent company also has its advantages. For example:
🔹 price; and
🔹 tax-free dividends.
Of course, there are also drawbacks…. And yes, a holding company in Luxembourg—where the law isn’t changed by “amendments in parliament” and has remained stable for decades—certainly offers a level of comfort that Slovakia cannot provide. However, paying a thousand euros just to visit a notary is certainly not a comfort.
We have therefore made a commitment to conduct comparisons with other countries even in areas where Slovakia makes more sense.
Because while it may seem that Slovakia is going from 10 to 5, for many people, it’s doable.
For example, GARDEON® does this from Turiec. Jobs at home, markets in Europe.
We’ll be discussing this—the use of “Cyprus shell companies,” payments to owners from a Slovak company, holding structures, and when it makes sense to do business abroad—on November 25 at the conference “Why and How to Stay in Slovakia.” GARDEON® will be one of the main partners.
