Peter Varga is a unique and unique consultant on the Slovak consulting market. In addition to being an attorney and tax/legal advisor, he effectively links law, tax and taxation in a coherent formulated business advice, he is also an entrepreneur.

It is his subjective practical experience in business that significantly increases the quality and complexity of the provided advisory services.
Peter focuses primarily on tax and finance law. It provides comprehensive services in the field of tax and regulatory efficient business setup for small and medium-sized companies, including their representation before tax authorities, NBS and courts.
Peter has been working on these topics for more than 10 years. He advises not only “one-person small businesses”, but especially innovative and fast-growing Slovak companies that require a more dynamic and practical approach. He also advises investors and large corporations on both simple and complex legal and tax issues. Peter also writes articles, speaks at various conferences and is a member of the Ministry of Finance working group on improving the capital market in Slovakia.
Education and action:
After graduating from law school, Peter worked for several years at a leading international law firm

as a trainee solicitor and later as a barrister. For some time he worked in the Warsaw office, where he worked on international tax law and structuring.
His tenure at one of the best law firms in the world gave him insight intothe largest transactions in Slovakia, extensive knowledge and know-how and the opportunity to work with the best attorneys on major financial and tax transactions. Z

which specializes in corporate, financial and tax law and gradually incorporated CARPATHIAN into the Highgate Group.
Peter has built the Highgate Group into one of the most respected tax and financial law specialists in Slovakia. While in the area of taxes, in 2023 Highgate Law & Tax became the winner in the competition Law Firm of the Year the only one of its kind in Slovakia, in the field of financial law (which is not evaluated by this competition), Highgate Group is a highly respected and regular participant in various professional conferences and methodological meetings, both in the commercial sphere, but also at the level of of the National Bank of Slovakia.
The clients themselves determine the topics of the personal consultation. In a face-to-face meeting or online conference call, the client is guaranteed a personal and tailored approach and answers to business questions posed by the advisor. The client has the possibility to send his/her questions to the advisor in advance. The personal consultation includes an hour-long discussion on topics and questions chosen by the client. Consultation does not include any form of written output.
Following the personal consultation, the client has the opportunity to agree on a broader, resp. a more formalised level of legal, tax or accounting advice.
Consultations are intended primarily for smaller and medium-sized Slovak entrepreneurs who are looking for a quick and straightforward orientation in some of the above-mentioned issues.
As some topics of less demanding content can be grasped relatively comprehensively in a consultation, in such cases the consultation can be expected to provide final answers to specific questions. Consultations are also designed for industry professionals (e.g.: attorneys, tax advisors and accountants) who are looking for inspiration or brainstorming on a professional topic.
A number of advisory topics cannot be answered with an instant and straightforward answer without more detailed analysis. One reason is the standard legal and tax complexity of the issue or topic, which requires more effort and time from the advisor. The second reason is the price. Consultations are charged at a relatively low rate for the know-how offered, so the client cannot expect to receive full advice on complex issues for this amount, covered by professional indemnity and insurance for the advice given.
