Where do we advise?

We provide legal services in the registration of Slovak, European and international trademarks and represent clients in proceedings before the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). We provide our clients with searches of goods and services, drafting and filing of trademark applications, as well as defence against possible objections to the registration of registered trademarks.

We advise clients on the protection of their copyrights, as well as on the assignment and licensing and sublicensing of copyrighted works, and prepare related documentation for them.

We also provide legal advice in the area of know-how and trade secret protection.

We represent our clients in both in-court and out-of-court proceedings in cases of intellectual property infringement.

What is our experience?

In the field of intellectual property law, we provided, for example, the following legal services:

• Legal advisory services to TRIAD s.r.o., a major marketing company, on the acquisition of an audiovisual work, including drafting an agreement on the transfer of property rights to the audiovisual work, an agreement on the assignment of licence rights, an agreement on the adjustment of rights and obligations with performers and other persons who participated in the creation of the work;
• Legal services for the company YIMBA, s.r.o. consisting in the preparation of an agreement on the transfer of a trademark, an agreement on the assignment of the exercise of the author’s proprietary rights and the licence to the website and an agreement on the assignment of the licence to the logo, as well as securing the transfer of the domain name to the company and the settlement of the copyrights to the articles on the website;
• Drafting of a settlement agreement for the rights to the SaaS product Allfred for the company Tools Done Right s. r. o.;
• Representing Touch4IT s.r.o. in concluding a copyright settlement agreement with its American business partner;
• Legal advisory services to Touch4IT s.r.o. regarding copyright regulation in the production of cover versions of musical works and SOZA payments;
• Comprehensive setup of contractual relations with external programmers (s.r.o. and freelancers) for the software company;
• Preparation of a licence agreement for the publication of a book for a company involved in the organisation of events in the health sector.
